Strength & Conditioning Camp

The John Paul II High School Strength and Conditioning staff is offering a 7-week dynamic strength and conditioning program designed to increase strength, speed, and agility. Our goal as a staff is to progressively improve the athletic ability for high school male & female athletes. Athletes that strive to become better overall and desire to participate in a top athletic performance program are encouraged to sign up. This program is for the athlete who wants to be pushed and shows a vision for committing to an exceptional level of athletic performance in their chosen sports.

Incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will learn basic lifting techniques and weight room etiquette, focusing on fundamentals, while introducing high-school level speed and agility drills. Incoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders will train with core and auxiliary lifts, stressing different muscle groups throughout the week, while balancing gains in the weight room with speed, agility, and conditioning training on the field. There will be two workout sessions per day, based on gender: all girls will work out from 7:30am-9:00am, while all boys will work out from 10:00am-12:00pm. There will be two separate groups for high school male athletes: all football athletes will focus on sport-specific lifts and workouts while all other male athletes will train with non-football lifts and workouts.

The program will run Monday - Thursday each week, beginning on June 3rd, 2019. There will be no workouts the week of July 4th, 2019. For more information, contact Coach Schiele at nickschiele@johnpauliihs.org or 469-229-5134.
