FIRST ACT - ACTING CLASS

Dana Willis

FINE ARTS | WEEK FOUR

Description

What is it that separates an okay performance from a strong one? In First Act, we look at the choices an actor makes when preparing a scene or monologue.  Learn to layer a rich character, when to take focus and when to give it, the importance of listening and being in the moment, and how to answer the actor’s burning question, “What’s my motivation?”  This class will focus on aspects of presentational and representational performance, and memorization will be required.
